Orbit Xylitol Food Tour

Sunday, March 22, 2009

I was just browsing my friendster pics, going back the memory lane after a tiring walk in SM Marilao, when I saw my Orbit Xylitol Food Tour album, until I remembered, this post is due last year but I didn't get the chance to post it because I was probably so busy working.

Anyway, it all started with the only forum I had the patience to join in to, GirlTalk. There's this thread where you can get so many freebies here and abroad. Someone posted a link where I can just register online and wait till I win something. It was supposedly free lunch for two but I didn't really expect anything. After a couple of weeks somebody called me informing me that I won in their contest and I should submit some documents to confirm my identity. At that time I could not remember a thing, until they mentioned Orbit Xylitol which rang a bell. I did send the documents they needed and my hubby's. By the way you can find the list of winners here, luckily they still have it on their site.

I waited for nearly a week until that Saturday came, I can't remember the exact date though. Hubby and I went to Serendra in Bonifacio Streets without expecting anything. There was a registration infront of Cuillere and some photoshoot. We even hesitated to order at first thinking that they might ask us to pay for our drinks, since the first stop was just Milkshake. Until they served the milkshake, we got surprised when they served the Tenderloin Tips, Croque Madame for appetizers, Codfish Croquettes and the best milkshake on earth, the Carabao Milkshake.

After a very sumptuous meal at Cuillere we were then brought to Makati, where the Steak Room is waiting for us. Actually when we reached the Steak Room I no longer have the room for the biggy steak they offered but I still gave it after looking at the price list of their steaks and finding out that a single slice of their steak costs nearly 2K pesos, just imagine a once in a lifetime chance to eat there. They also served salad, which tastes like ginger, and the soup which they called onion soup but doesn't taste like onion at all.

After a great time in Steak Room we were brought to a wine pairing at Galileo Enotica. I enjoyed their wine, cold cuts and their cheese, but since I was so full I never had the chance to drink more than a glass of red wine. I just enjoyed the somehow "Food Party" provided by Wrigley's and the coverage of the Lifestyle Channel. I also got the chance to see the commercial from our cable TV.

Thanks Wrigley's for such a wonderful time with all the free food. Till the next food trip.
