It's been a year since I became a freelancer. First, it was more of a part time gig, a small time career. But then I saw the bigger picture, a more income generating career.
I first saw the opportunity in Girltalk, read a few threads, which took me around two weeks to finish in the office. Saw a few fellow Girltalkers that are into freelancing and i followed their instructions. I signed up, completed my profile and took some tests, applied for several jobs and voila, after two weeks of patiently waiting I finally got a job. It required me 40 hours a week, so, after my 9-hour shift at Dell Libis, I'd go straight home and work overtime for 4-5 hours a day, and during my day off, roughly 10-12 hours. It was stressful, but it was rewarding.
After sometime I finally got an opportunity to work full time, got additional part time jobs and another full time. I had to let go of my career as a Technical Support Senior Assistant in Dell Libis to give way to a new career, a better opportunity, a greener pasteur. I've let go a career that most people have never experienced, but in a way, I'm happy, because now, I'm the boss of my own business.
And as a celebration of my new found career, I'd like to invite you to my chosen path. Just send me a buzz if you're interested. Happy freelancing to us. Happy Anniversary to me.
