SM Megamall Sale

Monday, October 17, 2011

I've been unable to go to Mall Sale since we started paying for the house late last year. So when the opportunity came, hubby and I decided that it's high time to rush to Megamall. It was the second day of sale but boy, the huge mall was super cramped with so many people. We were already there by 4 PM and I can't stand the smell, the temperature and long line of people paying for their purchases. So instead of lining up, hubby and I decided to just watch No Other Woman. After a couple of hours, around 10PM the movie ended. When we came out of the movie house we decided to back to department store to check the items on sale. Good thing the mall will close at 12 midnight. We bought a few things for ourselves and a couple of items for the kitchen. All in all, it was a good experience. But not good for the budget. Lol.

True Happiness with Being Married

Thursday, October 13, 2011

Life is never easy, but it will be if you let God handle all your burdens, this is what I learned in the years that I've been through my ups and downs.

I have a great family, but growing up allowed me to experience a lot of pain, especially with my dad's previous escapades and mom's hot temper. I am the eldest of 3 and have kept all my insecurities, issues and burdens inside. I had no one to talk to as a problematic child.

Though I didn't have to work so I could go to school, money had been a great issue for us, especially in high school. In college, I'm the one always left out when my friends are out for a shopping escapade.

Unfortunately, I didn't save up enough when I started working, I splurged and splurged without thinking about the future. Then I got married. Things got worst, I was at the peak of my career and got married to someone not financially independent and emotionally problematic. It was a rough phase going through all the dramas. I nearly dreaded the day I met him and married him.

Then realization hit me. My husband has been my shoulder to cry on and my best friend who listens when I vent and rant about anything. He is not only a partner, playmate or a lover, he is my soul mate. I may have married at the wrong time but I know that Love matters more than anything else in this world. God brought us together so that we could strengthen each other at our lowest. We just had to get to know each other more by going through all the challenges we had to face.

I am happier now and content, though at times I still feel a bit hesitant about our lives together and what will happen in the future, so I constantly remind myself that God is always with us.

Ukay-Ukay Galore

Wednesday, October 12, 2011

I'm a huge Ukay-Ukay fan. Yes, I am. For the past 7 years, I've been getting most of my clothes (except for my undies) from Ukay Shops. All through the years, I've worn them, different styles, different designs. At times that I no longer want it or it doesn't fit me anymore I can just easily give it away without hesitation. I sooo love my Ukay clothes that I keep some pictures below of some of my own Ukay collection.

Update on my Lola's Health

I brought my grandmother to the hospital last week due to back pains. I believe I made a post about it here. Sadly, because I brought her to a government hospital, the results will have to take longer than usual. One good thing though, because lola is already a senior, the entire check up and x-ray were covered by the government. We finally got the result when my brother brought lola back to the hospital. The result was a mild osteoporosis. She needs to continue her meds which is priced at P46 a day and 3 sessions of therapy. I'm hoping lola will be fine soon.

Dunkin Donut's Sansribav

Tuesday, October 11, 2011

I just tried out Dunkin Donut's Sansribav. Hubby's been raving about it since it was shown in the TV. He's been salivating and can't wait to get his hands on the new donuts. So I gave it a try earlier, though so much expensive compared to their regular donuts, there's nothing spectacular about it except that it's bigger and has more icing. It tastes nothing compared to Krispy Kreme and the likes. I could have bought 4 regular sized donuts for P45 and be happier.

The Best Way to End the Week

Sunday, October 9, 2011

It has been a busy, exhausting, challenging and difficult week for me and hubby. Hubby had some issues with his work and I was about to burn myself out of boredom. But I know that God is good and that he would never give us any problem that we can't resolve. Then last Friday, while waiting for my boss and colleague for a meeting, an unexpected email came and I was surprised. I was crying while realizing that it was my previous boss and was asking if hubby and I can work for him again. Of course I said yes. Not only will it help out with our finances, it will also keep me busy for the next few months. I'll be able to save up for our gate, electric and water installation. God is indeed good. Thank you Lord.

So to celebrate additional work and income, I decided to treat my hubby out with his own salary. We went to Monumento and shopped in our favorite UK store and dined at Shakey's Fatima. We have been through so much and we both know our trials now are nothing compared to what we've been through before. We're both just holding on to our faith to God and I'm sure we'll be just fine.

The pictures didn't do justice as I only used my Samsung Omnia phone to take them.
